Ps 32:8 (NIV)

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.

Hey folks, Happy New Year!

We are not at our best when we don't have direction. Also, we can't make the best out of our lives when we try to direct ourselves. The creator of mankind knows our limitations. He says it is not in a man to direct himself. Jeremiah 10:23. We do not have the capacity to effectively prosecute this task on our own. Some folks would say “follow your heart” but there are lots of shortcomings with that prism. While our heart can be instrumental to receiving instructions from God, if that heart is not surrendered to God, it is not safe to “follow your heart” in its default state. The heart of man is desperately sick in its default state, the bible tells us. Jeremiah 17:9, Ephesians 4:17-19. Only God can transform it and then it becomes a safe receptacle for God to direct your life. Acts 15:9; Ezekiel 11 19-20

God has always promised to direct us, and this year is no exception. Psalm 32:8. The God of heaven, who made mouth and ears, speaks and is ready to direct you and me. He will direct us individually and collectively. Will we let him? You can have direction and clarity for every aspect of your life with God giving you directions this year and beyond. Will you let him? He knows tomorrow and He alone is the safe guide. Will you let him be your guide?

A good place to start is to surrender your life to him and be born again, if you have not. While out of God's sovereignty, divine grace and mercy, you may obtain his direction occasionally if you are not born again, if you become a child of God, divine direction comes as part of your birthright. As many as are led by the Spirit, they are the sons of God. Romans 8:14. What’s more, when you become born again, you have eternal life within you. Your sins are forgiven. I want to encourage you to believe in Jesus and surrender your life to Him right now. He is the best guide anyone can ever have in life. He paid the price for our sins through his death and resurrection so that we can have eternal life and become sons of God. Romans 4:25; 1 Peter 2:24. John 11:25, John 1:12. Say with me this prayer:

Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. I believe and confess that you are the son of God who came to the world to die for my sins and you rose back to life so that I won't have to pay for my sins anymore. Save me and be my Lord and Savior. Be my guide from today onward, in Jesus' name. Amen

If you made that prayer and confession with all sincerity, the word of God assures that you are saved. Romans 10:9-10. You may also let us know you made that decision and we'll be glad to share more resources with you in your faith journey.

Jesus is so sweet.
