He can give you a new beginning

God offers each of us the opportunity to begin rightly again no matter how far we have gone in error.

For one to be talking about a new beginning, it means there was an issue with the initial start. The fact is, not very many of us had a great start but that does not have to be our conclusion. The God who created you has a promise of a new beginning for you where you may have missed it. He has the capacity to create that new beginning because he created you in the first place. He has done it for people before you and he can repeat it with you if you let him.

All that's in the past

Maybe you are a young man and you started having trouble with the law from your teenage years. Now in your 30s, you have garnered enough criminal records to sink anyone. You no longer have the gut to believe or dream for any meaningful life outside the criminal justice system because you have repeatedly done it again. Despite all that, there is a promise of a new beginning for you.

As a young lady, you thought it was love when it started back then, but you have had 4 children from 4 different men with some of the men’s whereabout unknown. They left you so wounded than they met you so much that when people talk about a pleasant marriage, you consider it a fluke. The children are growing up in conditions that you are not proud of, and you are wondering if you can ever make it right for them. There is a woman in the bible who had a story similar like this, but she met Jesus, and she became whole thereafter to have a new beginning.

I see drug addiction as one other thing that has messed up the lives of many, denying them of purposeful living. They missed so many opportunities. They are unstable and unable to hold a job or a family together. Maybe that is your story and people have even mocked you to your face that it is the same addiction that killed your father. Someway, that has festered the thoughts within your heart that you are helpless and that you would end that way as well. Jesus can restore you to that very purposeful life He designed for you.

Don't listen to the lies of the devil

I know a man who lost his first marriage due to some choices he later admitted were wrong. Things went from bad to worse for him after then. He sought solace in drugs to make him cope with his loneliness and troubles. At some point, he began to see the emptiness in his soul and started hearing a voice telling him to end it all; and save himself from the troubles he is dealing with. The voice told him that if he ends it, he will have no more worries; that everything on the other side is dark with no consequences. It seemed an easier way to deal with the issues he was facing. He took steps to end it, but in the middle of the process, he heard the voice of God. Today, God is using him to bring the same hope to others.

Maybe the devil is telling you the same thing, trying to lure you so that he can finally seal your destruction. Listen, there is provision for a new beginning if you would hand over your life to the one who made you. It is true things are messed up, but He can still fix you and make things right again. Trust him with that chance, you will be amazed at what he would make out of you. I have seen enough and read a lot and I am reaching out to you from that place.

Assurance of new beginning.

God is the creator of all things. (Genesis 1.) If God has power to begin in the first place, (and He has), He can create another one again. Hebrews 13:8. He is the same ever. He has not lost his ability and capacity to create new beginnings. Moreover, he promised new beginning to anyone who comes to Jesus. 2 Corinthians 5:17

He is the porter, and you are the clay. The bible shows us clearly that God made man from the clay, and he breathed into his nostrils. God showed this imagery to prophet Jeremiah when he instructed him to go to the porter’s house. He shows that if we submit to him, he can make the best out of us, your initial wrong start notwithstanding. He can break your current “self” down and make out something good if you will submit to him. He can make a go of your seemingly bad beginning and bring out something good for his glory.

“You say how?” You leave that to him. With men, it may be impossible, but not with God, for with God, nothing shall be impossible. You can break free from that addiction. You can break the yoke of recidivism. You can have a happy family again. You can still fulfil your destiny.

Don’t let the system or the culture tell you, you can’t break free. God can give you a new lease of life. “I am way too gone. There is no hope” That’s a lie of the devil. He can use what is left to give you a new beginning and a wonderful end. The thief on the cross beside Jesus had probably an hour of a lifetime left but Jesus made something out of it. He found the saviour! He could have ended in hell as a sinner that night but right there, he got the best new beginning anyone could get. His sins were forgiven and a promise of eternal life. What I am saying is that he can use what’s left of your life even if it’s a fraction of a day left. Don’t trash that leftover, give it to Jesus, let him make something out of it.

How do I give him the leftover of my life?

The Bible says if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature.

2 Corinthians 5: 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come:[a] The old has gone, the new is here!

That is the new beginning right there for everyone who would come to God. God the creator made provision for us to come to him through the death of Jesus. You only have to believe him and accept him as your Lord and saviour. (Romans 10:9-10.) Right where you are, go ahead and talk to God in your own words. Invite Jesus into your life. Let us know you are making that prayer through the prayer request page, and we will be glad to pray along with you.
