O Edmonton!

Jesus is calling you, Edmonton

Why should you reject your healer

When thou art sick?

It is hard for thee to kick against The truth

Institutional bullies, why should you

Choke the light within thy border and expect darkness to leave?

O Edmonton, the beloved city,

Thou art broken and Jesus is thine only

Hope if thou must mend.

Kick all you want, you will not smell wholeness

Until thou return to thy maker.

For in that you say, you are wise,

You have become foolish

When thou saith, I am strong

Thou art weak and thou wist not

Thy arrogance has blinded you

Return, O city of great exploits and wealth

For thine maker means well for thee

Cry, beloved city for thy arrogance

For thine maker waits for thee

I cry for thee, thy nakedness is ever before me

And thou're not ashamed

Thou patched thyself in thy arrogance

And thou art not helped.

Return, O beloved city

Thy blessings are with Jesus

He is the blessing.

Thy straying children will come back to thee

Mama’s tears will cease

Fathers shall rejoice again

Your wards will not kill themselves again

Your only hope lies in Jesus

Not in the things that you trust.

Cry, beloved city and wail for thy sins

Return and thy maker shall receive thee

Bind thy wounds and thou shall be whole.
